NIRF Ranking 2024 :  IIT Madras Tops Overall Rankings—Check the Full Lists Here

On August 12, 2024, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced the new India Rankings. You can view the NIRF rankings on their official website at nirfindia.org. The announcement took place at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has been named the top institute again in the NIRF Rankings 2024. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore is in second place, followed by IIT Bombay in third. IIT Delhi, which was third last year, has moved to fourth place.

The NIRF Overall category looks at how well institutions perform in different areas, including research and innovation. IISc Bangalore continues to be a leader in research and is highly ranked internationally. Getting into IISc Bangalore is very competitive, as it’s known for producing some of India’s best scientists. The institute stands out in research, university, and innovation categories.

IIT Madras has remained the top choice for engineering education for over nine years. It continues to lead the rankings in both overall and engineering categories since NIRF Rankings began in 2016.
